I AM
The name of God in Neville's reading, I AM, your own consciousness, the creative foundation stone the whole teaching rests on.
About I AM
What is 'I AM' in Neville's teaching?
The name of God in scripture, which Neville read as your own raw consciousness, the bare 'I am' sitting behind every description of yourself. It is the foundation stone, everything else you claim is built on it.
Why does Neville call it the foundation stone?
Because before 'I am rich' or 'I am loved' there is just 'I am,' and that is you. Change what you attach to it and you change the self-concept your world is built on.
What does 'I AM' have to do with practice?
It is the way in. Every imaginal act starts by declaring, in feeling, a new 'I am.' The lectures here work directly with this name of God.
All Things Exist
Running time 46:14This lecture explores the biblical revelation of God as I AM, dwelling within human imagination. God speaks first from without, then awakens from within. Neville discusses Moses as a state of consciousness to be born, the symbolism of scripture, and the practical application of assuming the feeling of the wish fulfilled.
Hear, O Israel
Running time 46:18Neville Goddard interprets the commandment "Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one" as identifying God with your own I AM awareness. He describes three earth-shaking events: Old Testament prophecy, New Testament fulfillment, and the personal experience of awakening. He recounts his own visionary experiences and explains that Jesus Christ is the pattern or way back to the Father, not a historical person outside yourself.
The Messenger
Running time 44:40Neville explains that messengers are not to be merged with their message or worshipped as idols. He clarifies that God is one's own I AM, the human imagination. The lecture focuses on separating the messenger from the message, the meaning of the lamb as symbol, and the discovery of David as the Son of God representing the individual's awakened state.
Who Is Jesus
Running time 45:55Neville Goddard explores the identity of Jesus as the I AM within every person, drawing on scripture, his father's and brother's life stories, and his own visions. He explains that all of reality is a dream pushed out from the dreamer, and that by remaining faithful to the inner vision, one can transform their world.
