Faith
Faith as Neville taught it, not belief in a distant deity but the substance of things hoped for: assuming the unseen already present.
About Faith
What is faith in Neville's sense?
Not belief in a far-off god. Faith, for Neville, was the substance of things hoped for: the inner certainty, held before the result shows up, that the unseen is already there. Faith is the feeling of the fulfilled wish.
How is faith practised?
Assume the end as fact and refuse to be knocked off it by what your eyes tell you. Faith, for him, was active living in the state of the answered prayer, not passive hoping.
How does faith differ from blindness?
It rests on the Law. Imagining creates reality, so faith is trusting a mechanism you can test, not ignoring how things look. You persist because the law works, not because you have stopped looking.
Call Upon Self
Running time 46:19Neville discusses the Shema (Deuteronomy 6:4) and Paul's question about calling upon God. He argues the true God is one's own human imagination, not an external deity. The lecture covers faith, the importance of "I am," and the plan of redemption through personal experience of Christ rising within.
Faith Is Loyalty to Unseen Reality
Running time 45:45Neville Goddard discusses faith as loyalty to unseen reality rather than belief in unreal things. He explains that all things already exist in eternity, and faith means assuming the feeling of the wish fulfilled, then yielding completely to the deeper self. He shares examples, including a dream about David, and emphasizes that the entire biblical drama unfolds within man.
I Am All Imagination
Running time 43:37Neville Goddard recounts his 1933 experience of using imagination to travel to Barbados. He describes being taught by Abdullah to subjectively appropriate his desire by sleeping in the state of the wish fulfilled. The lecture identifies Jesus Christ as the human imagination and emphasizes that faith is the subjective appropriation of an objective hope.
Love Endures
Running time 1:00:14Neville Goddard recounts his own experiences to demonstrate that God is love and that this love endures forever. He describes the literal fulfillment of scripture, including drinking the blood of God, and shares visions and stories illustrating that faith, hope, and love abide, with love being the greatest. He urges listeners to imitate God by loving first.
The Secret of Imagining Class Lecture
Running time 46:02Neville Goddard discusses imagination as God, the law of imagining, and the promise of awakening. He explains that imaginal acts are causal, faith is essential, and that man's own imagination is the creator of all phenomena. He also describes the resurrection and the revelation of God through the son David.
